Stampin Up Regionals Portland Maine

I've shown about 15 pictures of regionals on Saturday 10-17-09 in Portland Maine. We had so much fun. I thought you may enjoy seeing some of the new ideas with the new mini catalog and the Idea book and Catalog. There were several guest speakers from our area. They were very knowledgeable in showing us some new ideas as well as new spins on old ideas. Nola, Lori, Paula and Sandy attended. As well as I.
Save some of these pictures for some holiday ideas. Also please subscribe to the blog. This is where I'll do most of my communicating with you. New ideas, classes and what's new for next month. I'll be posting later on our November Class. Please go back and take a look later today. I first want you to see all these pictures. :)

October's Class

We had such a blast on Wednesday. It was only the four of us, Donna and Arlyne and Nadine, Me. We did 3 greeting cards and a challenge project. I'm sure you are thinking why such a small group thonight? Sandy and Nola and Nellie were under the weather. Everyone is getting sick now that school is back and the days are getting colder around here.

This did not stop us. I had not seen Arlyne in almost 2 months, she missed last month because she was on vacation visiting her daughter Kelly. She had a blast. We were all so happy to hear about her trip. Where were her pictures though??? Let's scrap them Arlyne?

The first card shown is a card that Nadine had been working on. It is really lovely in person. She will be bringing us the instructions next month. The other pictures show the 3 cards we had done. The "theme" for October was "not so traditional". We had used colors not typically associated with the holidays...except our halloween hard. We kept the cards simple and added a little BLING. Do you see the cute rhinestone eyes in the skeleton???, we colored the the ribbon using OLD OLIVE.

For our 2 holiday cards...we used the new In Colors. Very non-traditional colors for the holidays. For the challenge the girls made a card box to store there cards in.. All I did is score the pattern for them and they had to come up with a way to close the box and then they can take the box home and duplicate it. It is a great holiday gift idea. Giving a few greeting cards in a box designed by you. How personal is that. Just a thought.

Next month I will be doing a design using the Sweet Treat Cups from the new mini catalog.

If you like any of the ideas that we did. I do have the recipies for you. Just send me an email.

I'm going to attach some more pictures of the halloween card and some other cards I've been working on. I'll try to show how we added the "bling" to the cards. I did capture some of the bling. These are the first 2 pictures.

Next month we will meet on November 4th at 6PM. Stampin Up has some great specials on punches for the month of October. To check them out go to: http://www.stampingandscrapbooking.stampinup.net

October's Class

It's been crazy around here at our house. I'm preparing for a Stampin Up regional in Portland Maine, the kids are back to school and I'm back to work. I've also been working on several ideas for Wednesday's Class. We will be using a new Stampin Up product in the new mini catalog. We are going to use shimmer paint. I have a solution that we will make using the champange paint. We will be mixing the paint in a spray bottle. You will also be able to take your bottle home with you. I've somehow collected enough bottles for all :)
These are a few pictures of what I've worked on, some were swap ideas and the first and last picture is what I'm thinking of bringing to regionals to swap. I'm making 50 of each design. I'm not completly happy with them, but I do like them.
I also will have a challenge table set up for when we are done with our projects. If you decide to do the challenge...I'll be giving away a nice gift set. We will put our names in the basket and let's see who wins.
Please check out my web site at http://www.stampingandscrapbooking.stampinup.net/ There is a lot of nice Stampin Up promotions for the month of October. We will also go over some project ideas for the Holidays. If you are interested, I'm happy to do them. This will be in addition to our monthly class.
Hostess benefits for October go to (NOLA). I've enclosed some pictures of some of the items I've been working on for regionals. I also will have a little gift for you on Wednesday. I hope you like them :)
